The results are in and being scrutinised as to who are the winners and losers of the Super Rugby Pacific franchise squads for next season

The largely telegraphed outfits feature some high profile returnees from overseas including Beauden Barrett at the Blues and Brodie Retallick at the Chiefs.

League convert Roger Tuivasa-Sheck officially joins the Blues but former All Blacks prop Owen Franks has been ruled out for the season with the Hurricanes due to an achilles injury.

31 rookies will enter the competition.

12 players have transferred between the five franchises while nine have joined the new Auckland-based Moana Pasifika.

The Hurricanes have nine newcomers, the Blues seven, the Highlanders six, the Crusaders five and the Chiefs four.

Crusaders coach Scott Robertson has been politely asked for his views on his squad - then things took a turn to the nitty-gritty on how he thinks the All Blacks are faring.
