The first cricket test between the Black Caps and India is underway in Kanpur

The first cricket test between the Black Caps and India is underway in Kanpur

The New Zealand team is highlighted by Rachin Ravindra who's been selected to make his test debut.

History isn't on the Black Caps' side - they've won just two out of 34 tests played away to India, the last of which came in Mumbai in 1988.

India won the toss and are batting first - a short time ago they were three without loss.

The door has opened ever so slightly for one of rugby's most controversial figures to make a return to the sport.

World Rugby's altered its eligibility laws, which from January will allow international players to transfer once from one union to another following a three-year stand-down.

Former Wallaby Israel Folau reportedly had a meeting with Tonga coach Toutai Kefu recently, where he expressed a desire to join the islanders' fold.

Northern Districts have crushed Otago by an innings and 74 runs in their Plunket Shield clash in Alexandra.
