Updated rating valuations for the Auckland region are now expected in March
1 December 2021
Auckland Council says the pandemic has affected its ability to complete the revaluation this year.
The audit by the Office of the Valuer General has determined the council and its valuation partner Quotable Value, need to do more work before the values are ready for release.
Rates assessments take effect from July first.
Ratepayers can object to their value if they don't think it's accurate but due to the delay, the result of an objection might not be received before rates notices for some ratepayers.
If their value is changed due to the objection, changes to their rates will backdated.
