After 30 years, the IRD is farewelling its old computer system

After 30 years, the IRD is farewelling its old computer system

The overhaul cost 1.5 billion dollars, and was delivered on time - and under budget.

Inland Revenue Chief Executive. Naomi Ferguson says about 600,000 people will get automatic tax refunds.

She says the upgrade is making a real difference for small business owners.

She says small business owners can now do things like file to the IRD straight from their software.
