Five to 11-year-olds are set to start receiving their first jabs next month, pending MedSafe approval.
But new Ministry of Health research shows a third of caregivers are against or unsure about having their children vaccinated, with the rates even higher among Maori.
The Covid-19 Response Minister says they're trying to give parents the information and reassurance they need.
He says the Government is being thorough in the approval process -- to ensure that once approved, the vaccine is rolled out in a safe way
