Kiwibank says it's been proactive and transparent, since discovering it accidentally charged home loan customers transaction fees

The Financial Markets Authority has filed civil proceedings, and wants the bank to pay a fine and costs.
Kiwibank has nearly finished repaying fees and interest to 19 thousand customers covered under the Financial Markets Conduct Act.
The bank says it discovered the issue in August 2019, apologised to customers, quickly fixed it and told the FMA.
