He'll drive for British team Hitech in a seat effectively vacated by compatriot Liam Lawson.

Armstrong's showed potential with a win and three podium finishes in the last two seasons of the championship.

Armstrong will go-kart in Auckland and Hamilton over the next month before joining his team for the season opener at Bahrain in March.
