Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery in Christchurch

Police are investigating an attempted aggravated robbery in Christchurch

They were called to the Grower Direct Market on Yaldhurst Road, Sockburn about 9 this morning.

Police say three offenders entered the store with what's believed to be a firearm and attempted to rob the store, but they were unsuccessful.

There were other customers there at the time, however no one was harmed.

Police say the offenders sped off in a vehicle, which officers have now located close to the store.
