An Omicron outbreak could further impact the already stretched healthcare workforce

An Omicron outbreak could further impact the already stretched healthcare workforce

The Medical and Salaried Medical Specialists associations are asking the Government to declare a workforce emergency.

The Nurses Organisation's Glenda Alexander says there are concerns around staff getting sick ... or having to isolate.

She says contingency planning will be left to the people who decide what's delivered and whether particular health services have to be prioritised.
