More than 100 spills have been caused by waste water blockages in Rotorua in the past three years

A hedgehog, pig's head, and a toy truck are just some of the items responsible for clogging - with many spills in residential streets.

The Rotorua Lakes council could not confirm what clean up costs ratepayers - because it's included in a 150 million dollar, 10-year city wastewater deal with private group, Trility.
