A not guilty plea from former Taranaki Regional Council candidate Brett Power at Wellington District Court today

A not guilty plea from former Taranaki Regional Council candidate Brett Power at Wellington District Court today

Power was arrested at the anti-mandate protest in February, and has appeared on a charge of disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence.

He has opted to represent himself, and he and others facing similar charges appeared via an audio visual link, broadcast from the court foyer.

Protesters were unable to appear in court in February, after refusing to wear masks or show a vaccine pass.

He will reappear for a case review hearing at the end of April.
