Child sex abuse looks to affect people in more ways than one

A study published in the Journal of the North American Menopause Society - has found more than 60 percent of people exposed to sexual abuse as a child - start menopause 11 years earlier than average.
The average age is 51.
Clinical psychologist and Help Auckland executive director Kathryn McPhillips says trauma is known to have physiological impacts.
She says they've seen increased hormonal activity in children who were sexually abused at an earlier age.
