Firefighters are hoping to pack up and leave a southeast Auckland scrub blaze by this afternoon
2 April 2022
It broke out about four-pm yesterday on Papakura-Clevedon Road in Ardmore.
Incident controller Thomas Harre says it covers ten hectares.
He says three crews are trying to keep it away from a horse arena, houses and sheds.
Harre hopes the fire will be completely extinguished by the end of today.
He says he hasn't been able to speak to the owner of the property where the fire started yet, but is reminding people not to leave unattended fires burning.
