ANZ New Zealand has recorded an 18-percent rise in its half-year profit, to almost 1.1 billion dollars.
Its operating income rose six-percent to more than 2.1 billion dollars.
Its cash profit was up just one-percent to 968 million dollars.
Chief executive Antonia Watson says the solid result reflects ongoing strength in the housing market, despite recent headwinds from factors including rising interest rates.
