A district-wide order last night ... to arm all officers as shootings broke out across Auckland

A district-wide order last night ... to arm all officers as shootings broke out across Auckland

Seven suburbs were hit overnight ... in what Police believe is a result of rising tensions between the Killer Beez and Tribesmen gangs.

Two addresses targeted currently have no links to gangs.

Superintendent Jill Rogers says officers will continue to make decisions on carrying arms on a case by case basis.

She says routine arming has not been brought in - but officers will make tactical decisions for each incident they attend ... and they will have that capacity in the days to come.
