Auckland Police are still investigating the death of a man who was found in a Mount Albert walkway

Auckland Police are still investigating the death of a man who was found in a Mount Albert walkway

They haven't named him, stated his age or revealed how he died, but a firearm wasn't involved.

Police are calling for anyone who was in the area of the Roy Clements Treeway, near the St Lukes shopping centre, just before 7pm on Tuesday, to come forward.

Detective Inspector Chris Barry says they aren't revealing exactly where on the track it happened.

He says a cordon will remain in place.
