    Police have arrested two people and located restricted firearms in Mount Roskill


    A Police unit tried to stop a vehicle linked to a local gang on Richardson Road, just before midnight.

    Eagle helicopter spotted the vehicle travelling towards an address in New Windsor.

    There, Police found two restricted firearms, and several rounds of ammunition.

    One person has been arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and failing to stop ... while a second person was arrested on an existing warrant.

    They're due to appear in the Auckland District Court today.
