Calls for caution as the suspected murderer of a young man remains on the loose in Auckland

Calls for caution as the suspected murderer of a young man remains on the loose in Auckland

The volunteer firefighters body was found on Roy Clements Treeway walkway in Mount Albert on Tuesday night - with several stab wounds.

A warrant is out for the arrest of 22-year-old Christian Eteuati - who has connections to Sandringham and West Auckland.

Police say he is extremely dangerous and are urging locals to stick to well-lit areas, walk with a buddy and stay aware of their surroundings.

Albert-Eden Local Board chair Margi Watson says anyone who knows anything should dial 111.

She says this man should not be approached, and the sooner he is found the better for everybody.
