Natural gas users are about to feel the heat.... of price rises

The Commerce Commission has approved the increases to cover operators' network maintenance, while the Government phases out gas, replacing it with renewables.
For the next four years, the average household bill will rise 3.8 percent annually, or about 48 dollars.
Most of the 300 thousand users are domestic, but there is some industrial and commercial use.
