A bid to roll-out a programme teaching mental wellbeing skills to more New Zealand schools

"Mitey" - developed by former All Black and mental health advocate John Kirwan's foundation is already taught in about 70 schools.
But it's hoped a national campaign to raise one-million dollars could see the intiative extended to 40 more.
It comes as data reveals young people going to emergency department in mental distress has increased 177 percent in a decade.
Kirwan says it's critical to offer education early.
He says we can't wait until the ambulance is at the bottom of the cliff - we have to put a fence at the top, and then move it backwards.
