A search for ways to strengthen New Zealand's air navigation infrastructure

The Government's undertaking an independent review to future-proof the system, which includes key equipment like radar, radio, air traffic control services.
It also includes gear that keep aircraft safely separated and in communication with each other.
Transport Minister Michael Wood says it's often taken for granted, and was last upgraded in 2012.
He's confident the panel will work across the sector to identify gaps, and what improvements can be made.
