Cancers have been detected in 14-hundred people as a result of the screening, with 35 percent in the early stages and highly treatable.
Health Minister Andrew Little says the programme can be a game-changer, as people diagnosed while in early stages have a 90-percent of long-term survival if treated.
He says since 2017 more than a million home-test kits have been sent out.
Bowel cancer is the second-most common cause of cancer death in the country, killing more than 12-hundred Kiwis annually.
