More details about gun fears that sent an Auckland mall into lockdown

Armed officers descended on Glenfield Mall last night after reports of a person with a firearm.

Six young people found with BB guns in the underground carpark have been given police warnings.

Mall owner Dallas Pendergast says the group remained in the carpark during all the lockdown procedures.

She says she doesn't think the offenders saw themselves as offenders, because they didn't try and escape or run away.
