Our latest Broadcasting Minister wants the new combined national broadcaster - RNZ-TVNZ - up-and-running before Kiwis next go to the polls

Willie Jackson took over the portfolio last week, after Kris Faafoi announced his departure.

Jackson says he's committed to the merger and proud to continue Faafoi's work.

The Bill introducing the change has its first reading next week, and Jackson wants it through quick-smart.

He says they're behind time anyway because of Covid, but hopefully it will comfortably be through by the next general election.
