The Waitaki District Council is urging caution as the weather eases

The Lake Ohau Road Bridge has now opened after being closed since Tuesday, but a traffic management plan has been put in place until more permanent repairs are made.

Broken Hut, Ben Omar, Falston, Birchwood, Quailburn and Awakino Skifield Roads should all be open from this afternoon.

The Council says people still need to be careful as they drive around the area.

Windsor residents are being reminded a conserve water notice is still in place.

A boil water notice is still active for Otematata and Omarama.

Weather is set to ease across the country this weekend, but more rain is forecast next week.
