The Prime Minister's denied being dismissive to Ukraine's leader

The Prime Minister's denied being dismissive to Ukraine's leader

Jacinda Ardern was invited by the embattled nation's President Volodymyr Zelensky during a recent trip to Europe, but declined.

Ardern says the trip is not off the table - but it would not change the commitment New Zealand's demonstrating.

The Prime Minister says we have consistently responded to Ukraine's requests for help.

She says part of the reason for the invitation is to offer a deeper understanding of what's happening, but we'll do our bit regardless.
