It's winter again for most of the South Island, central parts of the North, and even Wellington

Residents in Christchurch and Dunedin have woken up to snow flurries falling and a layer on cars and backyards.. and there are even reports of light snow in the capital.
The Desert Road and Napier-Taupo Road are closed, along with sections of State Highways 85 and 87 in Otago.
MetService Meteorologist Alwyn Bakker says it's going to be a cold day.
He says the coldest area has been down in Alexandra, reaching a nippy minus five.
