A pathway to bigger things for aspiring young Kiwi footballers

A pathway to bigger things for aspiring young Kiwi footballers

That's what owner - American billionaire Bill Foley - believes the new Auckland A-League club can be once it enters the league next summer.

The league's confirmed he's been awarded a full licence to play in the competition - Foley said while winning will be front and centre, he's hopeful of other benefits.

New Zealander Nick Becker - who has worked with several football clubs both in England and Australia, has been appointed the CEO of the still unnamed club.

Football Australia and New Zealand Football will now seek signoff from Oceania Football and the Asian Football Confederation, as well as FIFA.
