The local mayor of the district where five people were killed in a two-vehicle crash, doesn't know the people who died

Police were called around 4.45 yesterday afternoon to the collision in Ohaupo - between Hamilton and Te Awamutu.

State Highway 3 has been re-opened under traffic management.
