Free RAT tests will continue to be available for Kiwis - for now

Free RAT tests will continue to be available for Kiwis - for now

The Health Minister has announced they're using existing Covid funds to purchase 9.25 million tests to see the country through to the end of September.

Dr Shane Reti says moving to a co-payment system as seen overseas will need a better transition period.

He says the announcement means they're maintaining eligibility for free tests throughout the winter period, when people are at most risk.

Reti's also announced a 30 million dollar funding boost for radiology services, cutting down specialist appointment wait times.
