An unlicensed builder's been sentenced to six months community detention after forging signatures on three buildings

An unlicensed builder's been sentenced to six months community detention after forging signatures on three buildings

Jimmy Carson's been convicted for using the names and signatures of two licensed builders between September 2021 and July 2022.

He'd obtained their details while corresponding over the property designs.

Tauranga District Court's found Carson knew the consequences of carrying out building work without an appropriate license or supervision.

He's also been ordered to pay 2000 dollars for providing false and misleading information.
