Tiger Woods says he doesn't know if this was his swansong at the US Open major, after missing the cut by two shots in North Carolina

The 48-year-old American great posted a second-round three-over-par 73 at Pinehurst to finish his tournament on seven over.

The cut line at the notoriously difficult No 2 course came in at five over... when asked if this was it for the US Open for him, Woods' response was matter-of-fact - but revealing.

Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox achieved his seventh straight cut at a major - but only just scraped into the weekend, right on the five-over-par cut line.

Fox is tied for 57th and last of those to make the weekend... 10 shots behind Swedish leader Ludvig Aberg .
