Nelson's former mayor has been left badly shaken by a frightening incident in her home

Open Justice reports Rachel Reese was confronted by a stranger when she arrived home one evening in February.

Reese says Police later found a nail gun he had brought with him.

She says she felt sick -- and questions why someone would be carrying one around.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was this week found not guilty on all charges on insanity grounds.
