Hopes a breakthrough in Parkinson's research could drastically improve the diagnosing process

Hopes a breakthrough in Parkinson's research could drastically improve the diagnosing process

Until recently, diagnoses for the disease could only be made post-mortem or in an invasive procedure.

However, a 300-thousand-dollar fund to New Zealand researchers could mean that's changed.

University of Canterbury Psychology Professor, John Dalrymple-Alford says there's a much more low impact way.

He says the same indicators can be identified simply through people's tears.
