Paper Plus must now raise capital from its member stores, after breaching bank loan conditions more than three months ago, without telling members.
Iconic Auckland department store Smith and Caughey's expected to decide this week, whether to remain open in a downsized form.
And Devon Funds Management's Greg Smith says an attempted takeover of The Warehouse Group -- backed by company founder Sir Stephen Tindall -- is on ice for now, pending a higher offer.
He says investors are expecting an improved offer, and the Board says it's open to the possibility.
