The Government is introducing new rules for people using emergency housing to make sure they're used by those in genuine need

The Government is introducing new rules for people using emergency housing to make sure they're used by those in genuine need

Starting August 26, changes will be made to strengthen eligibility with the introduction of new obligations, such as engaging in support services.

Associate housing minister Tama Potaka says the Government will do what they can to support people with extra challenges.

He says they'l get involved and make sure support is around, check in with them and also identify other ways they may be linked into other providers.
