ASB has recorded a 10 percent drop in annual profits

It's reporting an after tax cash net profit of 1364-million dollars in the year to June, down 149 million annually.

Home, business and rural lending all grew one percent during that time.

About 100 million dollars has been spent on fraud and scam protection systems and cyber security.

The bank expects to spend at least the same in the year ahead.
