    All-rounders Nathan Smith and Josh Clarkson have been handed central deals, replacing Devon Conway and Finn Allen who've opted to focus on T20 franchise leagues.

    Smith's Wellington coach Shane Jurgensen says the move is rewarding for his uncapped player, despite the wider context.
