A man remains in prison, despite the crown admitting he was wrongfully convicted

A man remains in prison, despite the crown admitting he was wrongfully convicted

Stephen Stone has sat in prison for 26 years for the murders of Deane Fuller-Sandys and Leah Stephens in 1989.

Last month the crown accepted him and three others were wrongfully found guilty - and urged the court to quash their convictions.

But since the decision, the courts have denied bail for Stone without reason.

Private Investigator Tim McKinnel says he shouldn't have spent another day in prison - considering it's almost certain the convictions will eventually be quashed.
