Former Supercars driver Greg Murphy is dampening expectations of a second straight Kiwi triumph at the Bathurst 1000

Former Supercars driver Greg Murphy is dampening expectations of a second straight Kiwi triumph at the Bathurst 1000

Shane van Gisbergen and Richie Stanaway became the second all-Kiwi duo to take the chequered flag at Mount Panorama last year.

Van Gisbergen has since joined the Nascar Xfinity Series, while Stanaway is paired up with Australian Dale Wood for this year's edition.

Murphy feels it's unlikely another Kiwi will win this weekend, but offers a glimmer of hope.

Tennis Australia is confident Nick Kyrgios will overcome wrist and knee injuries and finally return to his home grand slam in January, having played just one singles match on the tour since October 2022.
