Christchurch motorists are being warned to watch out for major roadworks this weekend

Christchurch motorists are being warned to watch out for major roadworks this weekend

The Manchester and Lichfield Street intersection is closed from 9pm last night until 6am Monday.

City Infrastructure General Manager, Brent Smith says the council and contractors are working together to pull off the "super weekend" of water upgrades.

It will include excavating and replacing aging water pipes, as part of work on Te Kaha Stadium.
