    A large fight outside a Whangarei bar has put a man in hospital in a serious condition


    Police were called to the Butter Factory bar early this morning and found a man unconscious on the ground.

    Two men will appear in court tomorrow.

    A 34-year-old faces assault with intent to injure and assault charges while a 19-year-old faces similar charges and an additional one for meth possession.

    Another man is set to appear in court later in the month for fighting in a public place and assault with intent to injure.
