    It could be back to the drawing board Mount Ruapehu's Turoa skifield


    Newsroom reports the skifield's 2025 ski season is potentially up in the air, as its current concession from the Department of Conservation does not allow for slope preparation or avalanche control outside the ski area.

    The uncertainty comes after concerns were previously raised over consultation with local iwi, after operator Ruapehu Alpine Lifts went into liquidation, and later, receivership.
