It's Cup Day in Christchurch, and the mood at Addington is upbeat

It's Cup Day in Christchurch, and the mood at Addington is upbeat

Gates open for today's New Zealand Trotting Cup at 11am.

Ticket sales are up 10-percent this year, after prices for general admission tickets were slashed from 40-dollars to just 25.

Addington Raceway Chief Executive Brian Thompson says the weather's looking good.

He says today's a typical Canterbury spring day, with sunshine, a light breeze, and a high of about 19-degrees.
