Black Sticks forward Simon Child has retired from an international hockey career which began in 2005

The 36-year-old has played the fifth most games for New Zealand with 309, and is the second top goal-scorer with 148.
Child played at four Olympics and three Commonwealth Games - he was part of the squad that won bronze at Delhi in 2010.
