The Postal Workers Union's hit out at a NZ Post proposal to stop delivering mail to letterboxes

The Postal Workers Union's hit out at a NZ Post proposal to stop delivering mail to letterboxes

MBIE's consulting on proposed changes to its service obligations.

It includes potentially reducing delivery frequency, and delivering to communal mail areas, rather than individual letterboxes.

But the union's John Maynard says it's not good enough, and believes New Zealanders haven't been made aware of the contentious issue.

He says NZ Post appear to want to stop delivering to households, in favour of communal delivery points.
