    Canterbury wicketkeeper Mitch Hay has been given a big opportunity to press his claims for a spot in New Zealand's ODI team for next year's Champions Trophy in the UAE


    Hay will keep in the upcoming T20 series against Sir Lanka...and has been kept in the squad for the following ODI series as back-up to incumbent one day keeper Tom Latham.

    Black Caps selector Sam Wells says the gloveman can prove his worth by continuing to excel with the bat.
