A Tauranga daycare has apologised after four children escaped through a malfunctioning gate

A Tauranga daycare has apologised after four children escaped through a malfunctioning gate

Four youngsters at the centre went through the gate on December 3rd and were found minutes later by members of the public.

A malfunction in the gate led to an unforeseen gap which the children went through.

The Ministry of Education directed the centre to fix the gate immediately and to install safety latches on the window.

They have complied with the orders.
