A stop-start Daytona 500 has stalled again due to inclement weather

A stop-start Daytona 500 has stalled again due to inclement weather

A red flag was issued due to rain - forcing the 41 competitors, including race debutant Shane van Gisbergen, to pit after 11 of the 200 laps.

A further 10 have been completed in the last half an hour - but the red flag is back because of a shower.

Van Gisbergen's slipped to 26th, having been 15th after the first rain break.

Organisers remain hopeful of completing the race as planned.
