Another large cut to the Official Cash Rate's on the cards today

Another large cut to the Official Cash Rate's on the cards today

Economists and markets are almost certain the Reserve Bank will slash the OCR by 50-basis points at 2pm.

That would take the cash rate from its current 4.25-percent, to 3.75-percent.

Herald business editor at large Liam Dann says it's expected this will be the last of the larger 50-point cuts.

He says the cuts have helped move the rate down quickly to get money back in to New Zealanders' pockets.

Dann says the hope is it'll kickstart the recovery and get people spending again.
